1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bitgit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Bitgit is a real-time collaboration platform for Git repositories that provides:

  • • Real-time conflict detection and prevention
  • • Team presence awareness and visual indicators
  • • Live code sharing and collaboration features
  • • Smart cherry-picking and merge assistance
  • • Enterprise-grade security and compliance features

3. User Accounts

To use Bitgit, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • • Provide accurate and complete information
  • • Keep your account information up to date
  • • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not share your account, create multiple accounts, or transfer your account to another party.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bitgit to:

  • • Violate any laws or regulations
  • • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • • Transmit malicious code or conduct security attacks
  • • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • • Share inappropriate or offensive content
  • • Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit our service
  • • Use automated tools to access our service without permission

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your code and content. By using Bitgit, you grant us limited rights to:

  • • Process and transmit your data to provide our service
  • • Create backups and ensure service availability
  • • Generate anonymized analytics for service improvement

We respect your intellectual property and will never access the content of your code without your explicit permission.

6. Privacy and Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy and security:

  • • End-to-end encryption for all data transmission
  • • Zero-knowledge architecture - we cannot access your code content
  • • SOC 2 compliance with regular security audits
  • • Transparent privacy practices detailed in our Privacy Policy

7. Subscription and Billing

For paid plans:

  • • Billing occurs monthly or annually as selected
  • • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • • You can cancel anytime with effect at the end of your billing period
  • • We may update pricing with 30 days' notice

Free tier usage is subject to fair use limits as defined in our documentation.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • • Perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service
  • • Update or modify features with reasonable notice
  • • Suspend service for security or legal reasons

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitscaled LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of Bitgit. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

  • • You may cancel your account at any time
  • • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms
  • • We may discontinue the service with 30 days' notice

Upon termination, you may export your data for 30 days, after which it will be deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our service. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved through:

  • • Good faith negotiations first
  • • Binding arbitration if negotiations fail
  • • Courts in San Francisco County, California for injunctive relief
